Globe 100% paperless by 2020
Ayala-led Globe Telecom Inc. is completing its migration into the cloud to achieve 100% paperless business operations next year.
All data, information technology services, applications, and other digital resources will go to a cloud-computing server, Globe Chief Information Officer Maria Aurora Sy-Manalang told reporters at the sidelines of the Globe Innovation Forum 2019.
“Our goal is by 2020 we are paperless. End of 2019, we will be 80% paperless, and then next year we will be 100% paperless,” she said. “We tried to target it. We’re almost there. We just have a couple of workloads we’re working on, and we should be done soon,” Manalang noted.
“Now our target is before the end of the year, we're all cloud. We've codified, we've put it in a playbook.” she added.
Once all of the company’s digital assets have been uploaded into a cloud server, Globe said its business operations will be 100% paperless. —VDS, GMA News
