LBC, Cebuana Lhuillier ink open network partnership
Amid advancements in the financial technology sector, LBC Express Inc. and Cebuana Lhuillier have forged a partnership to open their respective customer networks to one another.
In a press conference in Makati City, LBC and Cebuana Lhuillier said they signed an agreement allowing each other’s customers to use the remittance services of both companies.
“This partnership gives us the opportunity to serve more people with our combined networks and branches,” said Miguel Angel Camahort, president at LBC Express Inc.
LBC operates a combined network of 6,400 locations, partners, and agents in over 30 countries.
The locations will be opened to offer remittance services to customers of Cebuana Lhuillier, which currently has over 30 million customers in over 2,500 branches with 6,500 domestic partners.
“Our partnership with LBC Express will make money remittance easier and more accessible to Filipinos,” said Jean Henri Lhuillier, president and CEO at Cebuana Lhuillier.
The partnership will help combat threats from fintech, Lhuillier noted.
“We have touchpoints, we have strong customer service, and so does LBC. So those mirror each other,” he said. —VDS, GMA News
