Area B of LRT-MRT Common Station is unique and spacious

The LRT-MRT Common Station’s Area B has a uniquely designed ceiling over a spacious lobby for commuters, and is now 96% complete, according to the Department of Transportation (DOTr).

On Tuesday, DOTr Secretary Arthur Tugade and other transportation officials inspected the ongoing construction of the Common Station along North EDSA,  a concourse that would link the Light Rail Transit Line 1 (LRT1), Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT3), MRT-7, and the Metro Manila Subway.

The Common Station project is a long time coming, having been delayed for nearly nine years, the DOTr said.

A dispute on the actual location Area B has erupted between the DOTr and Ayala Land Inc. However, the DOTr said on Facebook that the issue has been settled.

The construction of the Common Station is a grueling pace 24/7. It is expected to be operational by late next year. —Angelica Yang/VDS, GMA News
