Ayala Malls reopen, implement more health safety measures

Ayala Malls on Tuesday announced health security protocols that will be in place in establishments following the reopening of its malls amid the modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ).

In the Laging Handa public briefing, Ayala Malls president Jennylle Tupaz said the company has implemented the following to curb the spread of the coronavirus disease:

  • Installation of UV disinfection devices
  • Regular disinfection of escalators, handrails
  • Inspection of air vents, gas lines, generator sets
  • Implementation of 'No Mask, No Entry' policy
  • Temperature checks for all
  • Checking of quarantine pass for visitors
  • Checking of frontliner pass and company IDs for employees

"Ang pakiusap namin ay patuloy nilang ibigay ang kooperasyon at pag-unawa sa pagsunod ng patakaran para maiwasan ang pagkalat ng COVID," Tupaz said.

Other mall operators such as the SM Group and the Megaworld Lifestyle Malls earlier announced stricter health security measures once their operations resume, to prevent the spread of the coronavirus disease. --KBK, GMA News
