3 Pinoys make it to Business Insider Australia’s top 100 biz transformers list

At least three Filipino business leaders have made the cut in online news publication Business Insider Australia’s list of top 100 people transforming business in Asia.

Included in the list are Insular Life Executive Chairman Nina Aguas, AC Energy CEO John Eric Francia, and Medilink CEO Esther Go.

“Global business has faced unprecedented challenges over the past 12 months, particularly in 2020. The scale of the change that comes from responding to these obstacles will accelerate innovation in some companies,” Business Insider Australia said.

The list came out amid the global pandemic. The online publication noted that those who made the cut were chosen for their vision and innovative changes that resonate across their industries.

“One thing is clear—successful organisations rely on the vision and strategy of exceptional people to drive transformation,” the news website said.

“Business Insider’s 100 People Transforming Business series, now in its second year, spotlights visionaries who are driving innovative changes in their own companies that resonate across their industry,” it said.

The online publication cited Aguas’ role in promoting financial inclusion for Filipino women.

For Francia, Business Insider Australia  cited AC Energy’s push for green energy, particularly the issuance of $470-million green bonds in a bid to integrate sustainability into the core of the company’s business.

Business Insider also noted MediLink’s Go’s push to transform healthcare access across the country through democratizing healthcare—enabling efficient, accessible and affordable healthcare through technology innovation. — Ted Cordero/BM, GMA News
