Radius Telecoms, Cignal TV team up to offer fiber broadband and pay-TV service

Radius Telecoms Inc. on Monday inked a partnership deal with Cignal TV Inc. to provide fiber broadband and pay television service RED Broadband, banking on the increased demand for internet access amid online education and work-from-home arrangements.

In an emailed statement, Radius Telecoms — a wholly-owned subsidiary of Manila Electric Co. (Meralco) — said the partnership will offer unlimited fiber internet and pay television plans starting at P1,299 per month.

"Spending more of our lives online due to the pandemic, there is a crying need for faster and more reliable internet access for online education and work from home needs," the statement read. No additional information was immediately available.

Radius Telecoms currently delivers end-to-end fiber optic platforms, while Cignal TV is a direct-to-home satellite provider that transmits 120 channels including free-to-air, SD, and HD channels nationwide.
