Bank schedules for 2020 Christmas holidays

Most of the Philippine banks will be closed during the Christmas holidays, but several lenders said select branches will remain open to serve their clients.

Below are advisories from the banks that have so far announced their schedules for the holidays:

Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI)

Our branches will be closed on December 24, 25, 30, and 31, 2020, and January 1, 2021. Please settle bills payments and government transactions before the holidays. Standard clearing cut-off times will be followed.

Our digital channels—BPI Online, Mobile app, ATMs, and Cash Accept Machines (CAMs—remain accessible for your everyday banking needs. Furthermore, there will be no trading and online forex transactions on holidays and weekends.

China Banking Corp. (China Bank)

Selected  China Bank branches are open to serve you this Holiday Season.

Bank safely and use China Bank's digital channels, available 24/7 — ATMs, CAMs, Online Banking, Phone Banking, and Mobile App.

Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP)

We can make the holidays still the most wonderful time of the year. Avoid the hassles this season of good cheer. Here's a holiday schedule to help you plan out your bank and government transactions:

December 23

  • Last work day for government agencies
  • Last regular banking day
  • Checks deposited on December 23 before the cut-off will be available for withdrawal on December 28

December 24

  • Special non-working holiday
  • Selected bank branches may remain open, but check clearing operations will be suspended

December 25

  • Legal holiday
  • Heralds the 3-day weekend of Christmas

December 26-27

  • Government agencies and banks will be closed

December 28

  • First work day after Christmas
  • Government agencies and banks will reopen

December 29

  • Last work day for government agencies for 2020
  • Last banking day of 2020
  • Checks deposited on December 29 before the cut-off will be available for withdrawal on January 4

December 30

  • Legal holiday
  • Heralds the 5-day weekend of New Year's Day
  • Government agencies and banks will be closed

December 31

  • Special non-working holiday
  • Selected bank branches may remain open, but check clearing operations may be suspended

January 1

  • Legal holiday
  • Government agencies and banks will be closed

January 2-3

  • Government agencies and banks will be closed

January 4

  • First regular government work day and first banking day of 2021

Metropolitan Bank & Trust Co. (Metrobank)

To celebrate Christmas, some Metrobank branches will be closed, while others will have shortened banking hours on December 24 and 25.

You can still use the Metrobank Mobile App and Metrobank Online for your banking needs.

Remember to observe social distancing, and proper hygiene and protection when you withdraw and deposit money at Metrobank ATMs and CAMs.

Philippine National Bank (PNB)

Avoid the holiday rush and make your banking experience worry-free by visiting your PNB branch in advance.

Select PNB branches are OPEN to serve you during the holidays. Our ATMs, Cash Accept Machnis, and PNB Digital Banking will remain available 24/7 for your banking needs.

Rizal Commercial Banking Corp. (RCBC)

Bank safely from home using our online app bit.ly/RCBCMobile to avoid the holiday rush. But if you can't avoid your banking transactions, selected branches will be open to assist you this holiday season.

Philippine Veterans Bank

All branches will be open Dec 28-29 from 9am-3pm. ATM services remain open 24/7. We will resume Jan. 4, 2021.
