Petron to roll back LPG prices, effective April 1

Petron Corporation on Wednesday announced a big-time rollback in prices of its liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) products to take effect in April.

In an advisory, Petron said it will implement a P3.30 per kilogram rollback in LPG prices, effective 12:01 a.m., April 1, 2021.

The price adjustment is equivalent to a price reduction of P36.3 for a typical 11-kilogram cylinder.

Data from the Department of Energy showed retail prices of an 11-kilogram LPG tank range between P643 and P946.

Petron also announced that its AutoLPG prices will decrease by P1.85 per liter the same time.

“These reflect the international contract price of LPG for the month of April,” it said.

Oil companies usually implement LPG price adjustment every first day of a month.

Last March 1, fuel firms increased the price of LPG by P0.73 to P0.82 per kilogram or about P8.03 to P9.02 per 11-kilogram cylinder.

Auto LPG were, likewise, increased by P0.40 to P0.46 per liter. — Ted Cordero/RSJ, GMA News
