GCash announces services temporarily unavailable

GCash services were temporarily unavailable on Monday afternoon.

No further details were given by Globe Fintech Innovations Inc. (Mynt), operator of GCash.

“We are working hard to restore our services and we apologize for the inconvenience. Thank you for understanding,” the advisory read.

The Gcash services were finally restored on Monday night.

GCash is operated by Globe Fintech Innovations Inc. (Mynt) as part of the portfolio of 917Ventures, the corporate incubator of Globe Telecom Inc.

Its services include buying and borrowing load, paying bills, booking movies, paying via QR, shopping online, and remittances, among others.

Shares in Globe Telecom closed Monday at P1,840.00 apiece, down by P13.00 or 0.70% from last Friday’s finish of P1,853.00. — DVM/KG, GMA News
