Gasoline, diesel, kerosene prices up Tuesday
Motorists will again be greeted with heftier pump prices of petroleum products following three straight weeks of rollbacks for both diesel and kerosene.
In separate advisories, Chevron Philippines Inc. (Caltex), Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp., and Seaoil Philippines Inc. said they will hike prices per liter of gasoline by P0.40, diesel by P0.60, and kerosene by P0.40.
The changes will take effect at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, August 31, for all the firms except for Caltex which will adjust prices at 12:01 a.m. the same day.
Other firms have yet to make similar announcements.
The latest data available from the Department of Energy (DOE) shows that year-to-date adjustments stand at a net increase of P12.45 per liter for gasoline, P9.35 per liter for diesel, and P7.40 per liter for kerosene as of August 24, 2021. — DVM, GMA News
