Coins.ph reintroduces cash-in via 7-Eleven

Digital wallet provider Coins.ph on Monday said it has partnered with Philippine Seven Corporation to reenable cash-in transactions through 7-Eleven branches across the country.

Coins.ph users can cash in at 7-Eleven branches through three options: via the Coins.ph application, the CLiQQ kiosk barcode, or the add e-money option at the CLiQQ application.

Cash-in transactions through 7-Eleven will be subject to a partner fee of 2% of the transaction.

“Coins.ph’s goal is to provide financial access and inclusion to communities across the country,” Coins.ph CEO Nauman Mustafa said in an emailed statement.

“We are continuously adding new services within Coins.ph to help Filipinos complete their transactions conveniently using their phone as their wallet,” he added.

Coins.ph offers digital financial services such as prepaid loading for Philippine and international mobile numbers, bill payments, local and international remittances, game credits purchase, online shopping, and trading virtual assets.

“Bringing back this cash-in partnership is a joint effort at continuously finding ways to provide the best service to our customers,” Philippine Seven Corporation president and CEO Jose Victor Paterno said in the same statement.

The company currently operates over 3,000 branches across the country, while Coins.ph has over 15 million users.

Shares in Philippine Seven closed Monday at P87.70 apiece, down by 30 centavos or 0.34% versus last Friday’s finish of P88.00. — BM, GMA News
