GCash services temporarily unavailable on Tuesday afternoon

GCash announced its services were temporarily unavailable on Tuesday afternoon.

“We will post an update as soon as our services are restored,” GCash said in an advisory.

“Rest assured that your funds are safe with us,” it added.

No further details were given.

GCash services were however back online as of 9:30 p.m. Tuesday.

"The GCash app is back. Some of our customers may have experienced errors in Express Send and GSave Withdrawal. We would like to inform you that we have restored our services completely. Rest assured that your funds are safe," GCash said in an advisory posted on Facebook.

Users were advised to restart the app.

"We recommend restarting the GCash app for a smooth experience," the company said.

GCash apologized to its users for the inconvenience.
