AirAsia offers P77 domestic flights base fare for 7.7

Budget carrier AirAsia Philippines on Thursday announced it is bringing down its base fares for domestic flights to as low as P77 for its 7.7 mid-year sale.

The booking period is from July 4 to July 10, 2022 for travel period from September 1, 2022 to March 25, 2023.

Among the domestic destinations with P77 base fare are Davao, Cagayan de Oro, Puerto Princesa and Caticlan, AirAsia said.

At the same time, the airline is also offering a P777 base fare for international flights such as Kota Kinabalu and Singapore.

Meanwhile Hong Kong and Bangkok can be booked by travelers with low base fares of P1,377 and P1, 777, respectively.

The airline said the base fare drops are part of efforts to sustain the momentum of travel for both its domestic and international flights amid the rising fuel surcharge brought about by the volatility of the global fuel market.

As of June 2022, AirAsia said it has recorded an average month-on-month growth of 31% for its total guests flown domestically following the relaxation of border protocols and the downward trend of daily COVID-19 cases in the country.

The reopening of international flights and the gradual increase in flight frequency to cities abroad have also led to an average month-on-month growth of 157% from February to June 2022 for the airline’s international routes, it said.

“We at AirAsia Philippines are determined to sustain travel momentum notwithstanding market movements such as the rise in fuel surcharge cost,” said AirAsia Philippines spokesperson Steve Dailisan.—LDF, GMA News
