PAL to boost Manila-Batanes flights

Flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) on Tuesday announced additional flights between Manila and Basco, Batanes, which will be scaled up to daily flights next month.

The airline will add flights between the two destinations every Sunday starting July 24, making the frequency four times a week, including those on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

It will also increase the flights to seven weekly flights, covering daily morning departures from destinations starting August 2.

The departing flight will leave Manila at 6 a.m. and arrive in Basco at 7:45 a.m., while the returning flight will leave Basco at 8:15 a.m. and arrive in Manila at 10 a.m.

“PAL will continue to add more flights on other domestic routes to meet the travel needs of the flying public and promote tourism, while always prioritizing safety and health concerns,” PAL Senior Assistant Vice President for Philippines Harry Inoferio said in an emailed statement. —VBL, GMA News
