Resorts World Manila is now Newport World Resorts

Integrated resort and casino Resorts World Manila has rebranded to Newport World Resorts (NWR).

The name change took effect on July 20, 2022, the casino-resort said in a statement.

“The change in our brand name reflects our change in perspective that allows us to present ourselves as the most innovative, dynamic, and comprehensive gaming, leisure, and entertainment resort complex in the country,” NWR said.

“After pioneering the integrated resort concept in the Philippines back in 2009, we are now taking the next bold step and are re-inventing ourselves to a newer and bigger world within Newport City that brings together and elevates the thrills of gaming, hotels, entertainment, dining, and retail,” it added.

Hotels within the NWR complex include Marriott, Sheraton, Hilton, Hotel Okura, and Holiday Inn Express. The NWR also has cinemas, a performing arts theater, an upscale mall, and casinos.

“In doing so, the public can now start looking at us holistically covering everything within the sprawling Newport City complex (i.e. which has a residential area, a church, a supermarket, vast retail and recreational facilities, more dining places and options, even a link bridge to an international airport), as an entire community,” it said.

“This step is, for us, an opportunity to evolve our brand into something that better communicates the breadth of thrills that we truly represent,” it said.
