SM Prime expands footprint with opening of Sorsogon mall on October 28

Sy family’s integrated property developer SM Prime Holdings, Inc. continues to expand its mall footprint with the opening of SM City Sorsogon on October 28.

The new mall is SM Prime’s 81st mall in the Philippines.

The company now has 57 malls in the provinces and 24 in Metro Manila.

In a statement, SM Prime said SM City Sorsogon spans 40,000 square meters of gross floor area, providing two levels of shopping, dining, and entertainment destinations that will further boost the city and province’s socioeconomic, cultural, and leisure activities.

The new mall is located along Maharlika Highway, Balogo, East District, Sorsogon City.

“We’re glad to finally welcome our fellow Sorsoganons to SM City Sorsogon and deliver fun, convenient, and great shopping and dining experiences to the locality and beyond,” said SM Prime president Jeffrey Lim.

“Likewise, SM Prime is committed to providing opportunities for local businesses and talents to thrive and grow while developing sustainable projects anchored on world-class amenities and entertainment for every Filipino to enjoy.”

The new mall will open with 85% of its leased space awarded and boasts modern in-mall features and a market-driven tenant mix, SM Prime said.

“SM City Sorsogon is our fourth mall in the Bicol Region, which comes after SM City Naga, SM City Legazpi, and SM City Daet. We are truly grateful for the trust and support of our fellow Bicolanos as we continue to expand our reach in the region,” said Lim. — VBL, GMA News
