MANILA, Philippines- Call center operator eTelecare Global Solutions Inc. on Tuesday announced that it has cornered a deal that will increase its workforce by 250 seats. In a statement, eTelecare said the deal mostly entails inbound telesales services for a leading provider of digital television entertainment services. eTelecare said the agents will primarily sell new service activations from prospect inquiries originating from the service provider's website, toll-free telephone number, and from customer service transfers. No other details were revealed about the contract. In 2007, eTelecare said its net income jumped 88.5 percent to $23 million in 2007. The company has also disclosed that it is expecting its full-year 2008 revenues in the range of $300 million to $310 million. However, eTelecare is anticipating a lower net income of $16 million to $19 million for the year owing to the expected appreciation of the peso. The company employs over 10,400 people and has delivery centers in Libis, Quezon City; Shaw Boulevard in Mandaluyong City; Clarkfield, Pampanga; and Ayala Avenue in Makati City. - Cheryl Arcibal, GMANews.TV
