DoubleDragon partners with Japan’s Iwata Chizaki to construct Hotel101 in Hokkaido


TOKYO - Listed property developer DoubleDragon Corp. is partnering with Japan’s Iwata Chizaki Inc to build a hotel in Hokkaido under the Hotel101 brand.

The deal was signed by DoubleDragon Chairman Edgar Sia II and Iwata Chizaki President and CEO Keigo Iwata.

Under the agreement, DoubleDragon tapped Iwata Chizaki for the construction of its upcoming Hotel101-Niseko, Hokkaido Japan Project.

The hotel project will have about 518 rooms.

Iwata Chizaki Inc is one of the major contractors in Japan. It is the same contractor that built the Chitose International Airport in Saporro, Hokkaido.

The agreement between DoubleDragon and Iwata Chizaki is among the 35 investment deals and commitments signed by the Philippines and Japan during the third day of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s official visit. — DVM, GMA Integrated News
