StoreHub launches tool to drive repeat sales

Southeast Asian tech startup StoreHub, a platform that enables restaurants and retailers to automate and grow their businesses, has launched a digital tool that would help drive repeat sales.

In a news release, StoreHub said its new in-app feature, StoreHub Engage, an automated SMS (simple messaging service) marketing tool, allows businesses already using the startup’s ecosystem to automate up to four personalized SMS campaigns to existing customers within their database.

This includes sending cashback reminders and birthday voucher codes with the goal of getting customers to spend with the business again.

“Traditional brick-and-mortar businesses typically lack access to specialized knowledge to effectively reach their customers. We built Engage to help automate that,” said Wai Hong Fong, CEO and co-founder of StoreHub.

“Imagine it’s your customer’s birthday. Engage will send them a personalized 'Happy birthday’ SMS with a unique voucher code. Instead of spending time doing this manually or paying for expensive tools or specialists to achieve this, business owners can now just turn it on and let it run,” said Fong.

StoreHub said merchants can automate a variety of SMS campaigns for customers within their database, from birthday promotions to engaging customers who have not visited in awhile.

In the Philippines, StoreHub said it is fast becoming the partner of choice for many restaurants, cafes, and retail stores to successfully automate their operations.

The startup said it is one of the few point-of-sale system (POS) providers accredited by the Bureau of Internal Revenue.

Since its launch, StoreHub has served a wide range of small and medium enterprise (SME) merchants in the Philippines alone, ranging from multi-store cafes such as Coffee Academics and Tender Loving Cakes to restaurants like Wagyu Studio and Kondwi. — VBL, GMA Integrated News
