PAL unveils interline partnership with Emirates

Flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) on Sunday announced an interline partnership with Emirates, which will connect passengers of both airlines to each other’s networks through Manila and Dubai.

Under the partnership, PAL said it will provide Emirates’ passengers access to 19 Philippine domestic destinations operated by PAL, using a single ticket and a common baggage policy.

Meanwhile, PAL passengers will be given access to Emirates’ global network and connect to 21 cities operated by Emirates including Cairo, Frankfurt, Casablanca, and London via Dubai.

Travel itineraries can be booked through the official websites of the carriers, their mobile applications, travel agents, and online travel agents.

“We are eager to expand our reach to various international markets and exciting destinations and help stimulate business and tourist travel for global citizens, as well as provide better service to our fellow Filipinos living and working in overseas nations,” PAL Vice President for Sales Bud Britanico said.

“The partnership with Philippine Airlines will help open new links for trade and tourism that will drive more inbound traffic into the Philippines, and expand Emirates’ footprint in East Asia,” Emirates’ Chief Commercial Officer Adnan Kazim added.

Just last month PAL said it seeks to operate the largest network of multiple routes between mainland China and the Philippines, as it is set to fly to Jinjiang and Beijing. — DVM, GMA Integrated News
