Fuel prices seen to have mixed movements next week

Following a round of hikes, fuel pump prices are expected to have mixed movements in the coming week.

In its fuel price forecast for the April 18-24 trading week, Unioil Petroleum Philippines said the price per liter of diesel may go down by P0.30 to P0.40.

Gasoline, meanwhile, may have no price change to a rollback of P0.10 per liter.

Oil companies usually announce price adjustments every Monday, to be implemented on the following day.

Effective Tuesday, April 11, fuel firms implemented a per-liter increase of P2.60 for gasoline, P1.70 for diesel, and P1.90 for kerosene.

The latest price adjustments resulted in a year-to-date net decrease for diesel at P1.95 per liter and kerosene at P3.45 per liter.

Gasoline, on the other hand, has a net increase of P8.65 per liter. — DVM, GMA Integrated News
