Filinvest Land prex Las Marias appointed as CEO

Filinvest Land Inc. (FLI) president Tristaneil Las Marias has been appointed as the developer’s chief executive officer, taking over the position previously held by Josephine Gotianun-Yap for over a decade.

Las Marias was appointed during the firm’s organizational meeting on April 24. He has been with the firm for 27 years, previously serving as the business group head for Visayas and Mindanao and leading public-private partnership (PPP) projects such as the City di Mare township in Cebu.

“I have worked closely with Tristan and have no doubt that his leadership and unwavering dedication to our vision and organization will not only enable us to grow as planned, but more importantly, accelerate innovations that will take our real estate business to the next level,” Gotianun-Yap said.

Las Marias was appointed president of the firm in 2022 and was chief strategy officer and head of the Residential Business prior to his appointment as CEO.

He graduated from the Advanced Management Program of the Harvard Business School and earned his bachelor’s degree in Management Economics from the Ateneo de Manila University.

“I am honored and humbled to be entrusted the role of both President and CEO. I look forward to working with the FLI management team, most of whom I’ve worked with for many years, to unlock our company’s full potential,” he said in a regulatory filing.

“This year, our priorities are to sustain the growth of our core businesses, optimize the returns from our assets, unlock land values through township developments, and develop additional sources of revenues from new businesses,” he added.

FLI’s business segments include a real estate segment composed of housing, townships, residential farm estates, residential resort development, and medium and high-rise buildings.

It also has a leasing segment composed of retail and office leasing.
