Megaworld to open 1,500-room ‘PH’s biggest hotel’ before end of 2023

Andrew Tan-led property giant Megaworld Corporation on Monday said it is set to open its 1,500-room hotel, poised to become the biggest hotel development in the Philippines in terms of total room keys, before the end of the year.

In a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange, Megaworld said its Grand Westside Hotel is situated inside its 31-hectare Westside City township in the Entertainment City in Parañaque City.

Megaworld has set aside P64 billion for its Westside City township development.

“Once it opens, Grand Westside Hotel will become the biggest hotel property in our portfolio and in the entire country to date," said Megaworld Hotels & Resorts Managing Director Cleofe Albiso.

"It will be just a short drive away from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) via the NAIA Expressway (NAIAX), and promises to delight guests with wonderful views of the world-famous Manila Bay sunset as well as the skylines of Makati, Manila, and Taguig City.”

The Grand Westside Hotel will be Megaworld’s 19th hotel and its second homegrown hotel brand to rise inside Westside City, following the 529-room Kingsford Hotel Manila.
