San Miguel, Ayala Land ink agreement connecting Arca South to Skyway system
San Miguel Corp. (SMC) on Wednesday said it signed an integration agreement with Ayala Land Inc. (ALI) to connect the Arca South on and off ramps with the Skyway system through the upcoming South East Metro Manila Expressway (SEMME).
Based on the agreement, the construction of the integration of Arca South and the Skyway Stage 4 project will start in 2024, enabling access between the two areas from Arca South to the Batasan Complex in Quezon City.
Arca South is a 74-hectare mixed-used development located in Taguig with six residential projects, commercial lots, and other developments such as the Ayala Malls Arca South, a football field, and an events area.
The project will also provide an alternate route from the south to the eastern parts of Metro Manila including the Rizal province.
“This partnership shows that when major companies work together, the potential for driving positive change is immense. By combining our resources and expertise, we will be doing more than just building infrastructure,” SMC president and chief executive officer Ramon Ang said in an emailed statement.
“We will pave the way towards a more connected Metro Manila, where people have a better chance to thrive, prosper, and enhance their quality of life,” he added.
The agreement was signed by SMC's Ang, Ayala Corp. president Cezar Consing, and ALI president and chief executive officer Anna Ma. Margarita Dy.—AOL, GMA Integrated News
