Cebu Pacific announces changes in baggage policy

Budget carrier Cebu Pacific on Monday announced additional options for its check-in baggage policy ahead of the holiday season, as it said passengers can now bring up to three pieces.

In an advisory, Cebu Pacific said passengers can choose to check in 20 kilograms, 24 kilograms, 28 kilograms, or 32 kilograms as part of its new baggage policy.

The carrier earlier only allowed passengers to check in up to two pieces of baggage, and choose from an allowance of either 20 kilograms or 32 kilograms.

“We updated our baggage policy so that passengers can have greater control over their baggage allowance at lower rates than current airport charges,” Cebu Pacific chief marketing and customer experience officer Candice Iyog said.

“This could help our customers lessen their expenses and experience a faster bag drop at the airport,” she added.
