Angkas eyes entry in 4-wheel TNVS market

Motorcycle taxi pioneer Angkas is planning to enter into the four-wheel Transport Network Vehicle Services (TNVS) market.|

In a statement on Thursday, Angkas said its CEO George Royeca announced at a town hall meeting the company’s plans for 2024, which includes its entry into the four-wheel ride hailing space.

Angkas said it will soon introduce “Angcars” to serve the TNVS market.

“Angcars is designed to be an advanced ride-hailing app that seamlessly blends affordability with user-friendly navigation,” said Royeca, adding that the soon-to-be-launched app seeks to introduce options such as Angcars Economy and Angcars Plus, that allows passengers to request four-seater or six-seater vehicles.

For the motorcycle taxi app, Angkas said the upcoming additions include Angkas Health and Angkas Padala service features.

Angkas Health would bring healthcare services to homes through a five-step process that includes home service blood testing by PRC-licensed medical professionals.

On the other hand, Angkas Padala would be an app equipped with digital seller tools, payment and disbursement access, along with nationwide courier services that address the emerging needs of the online entrepreneurs.

Angkas also introduced AngKash aimed to address financial inclusion issues among its bikers.

The company said the AngKash initiative was designed to offer low-cost loans to assist riders in acquiring or upgrading their motorcycles.
