U-BIX aims to shape PH office space, digital document solutions
Office business and digital document solutions provider U-BIX Corp. is looking to shape the country’s office spaces and digital document solutions segments in the coming years, as the company on Monday celebrated its 50th anniversary.
According to U-BIX Corp. chairman and chief executive officer Atty. Edilberto Bravo, the company is focused on sustaining its growth, as it has diversified into other sectors such as hospitality.
“Our aspiration for the next 50 years is to continue to participate in shaping the future of the office, office services, and healthcare,” he said in a speech before the company’s partners and clients in Makati City.
U-BIX is the exclusive distributor of Konica Minolta digital production and multifunction printers in the country and the appointed distributor of RISO digital duplicators and Okamura office furniture systems.
The company also offers integrated document management solutions through U-BIX Imaging Center, and is a franchisee of US-based facilities maintenance and janitorial services firm Service Master, termite and pest control products and services firm Terminix, and home cleaning services provider Merry Maids.
The company acquired Kodak Imaging Center in August 2007, specializing in document and microfilm scanning, document management systems, and data capture services, among others.
U-BIX has also diversified into other market segments such as hotels, resorts, banking, coffee roasting, and e-commerce.
“Well, I think all we have to do is improve on what we already have and just make sure that we do a good job managing the businesses we now own, that’s all,” he said in an interview on the sidelines of the company’s anniversary celebration.
Asked if the company is looking at diversifying into more industries, Bravo said “Probably, next year I’ll be able to give you a more detailed projection but today, I have all that I have said, that’s all that I am ready with.” —LDF, GMA Integrated News
