Dingdong.ph ventures to motorcycle taxi service

Dingdong.ph, a delivery service established by actor Dingdong Dantes, is venturing into motorcycle taxi service.

Initially just a delivery service established by actor Dingdong Dantes in the pandemic, the motorcycle taxi service can be accessed through the Dingdong app’s ride-hailing feature called “Dingdong Hatid.”

It launched its motorcycle taxi service on Sunday, April 7, by having Dingdong’s rider fleet holdin a grand motorcade that started from Pasay City to Quezon City.

“Empowered by the true essence of ‘Hatid,’ which resonates to trust, care, and concern, with Dingdong Hatid, we endeavor to provide and redefine an innovative ride-hailing service which is rooted in safety, convenience, and professionalism,” said Dantes, chief strategy officer of Dingdong.ph, which is powered by RiderKo. 

“With our easy-to-use app, together with our fleet of professional motorcycle taxi riders who have gone through comprehensive road and rider safety training and continuous upskilling programs, we aim to deliver an easier and better ride-hailing experience to everyone for their everyday journey,” said Joy Tan, president and CEO of Dingdong.ph, powered by RiderKo. 

Dingdong.ph boasts of on-app safety features like an SOS emergency button, a live agent assistance, and an automated in case of emergency contact tracking. On-app items meanwhile — on-demand booking, QR-enabled booking, scheduled booking, and preferred riders — allow for utmost convenience.    

Beginning April 11, commuters in Metro Manila can avail of Dingdong Hatid service for free when they book their first ride.

First time users can also use the code SWITCH2HATID to enjoy a free base fare or P50.00 off their first booking when they download and use Dingdong Hatid. — LA, GMA Integrated News
