Flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) is set to offer nonstop flights between Cebu and Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) in Vietnam starting May, which the carrier will offer initially thrice per week.
In an advisory, PAL said the Cebu-Ho Chi Minh City route will start on May 2, 2025, with flights departing Cebu at 10:55 p.m. every Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday, and arriving at Ho Chi Minh at 12:55 a.m. the following day.

"We look forward to boosting tourism, strengthening Cebu's position as the nation's emerging business and leisure gateway, and building on the strong and friendly relations between Vietnam and the Philippines," PAL president and chief operating officer Capt. Stanley Ng said.
"We are excited to invite Vietnamese tourists and business people to take the short hop to Cebu to discover the wonders of our islands and enjoy the warm hospitality of our people," he added.
PAL said it will also increase its flights between Manila and Hanoi to daily service from five times weekly starting April 1, 2025.
PAL Holdings Inc., which operates Philippine Airlines, reported a net income of $135 million or P8 billion in the first nine months of 2024, as its revenues stood at $2.3 billion or P134 billion after carrying 11.7 million passengers during the period. — VDV, GMA Integrated News
