Pump prices of diesel, kerosene to go down on March 18, 2025

Motorists will again be greeted with cheaper prices of petroleum products this week, as firms announced Monday another round of rollbacks to mark the third straight week of downward adjustments for both diesel and kerosene.

In separate advisories, Chevron Philippines Inc. (Caltex), Petron Corp., Seaoil Philippines Corp. and Shell Pilipinas Corp. said they will cut prices per liter of diesel by P0.20, and kerosene by P0.40, while keeping those of gasoline unchanged.

Cleanfuel, Petro Gazz, and PTT Philippines Corp. will implement the same adjustments, excluding kerosene which they do not carry.

The changes will take effect at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, March 18, for all the firms except for Cleanfuel which will roll back prices at 8:01 a.m. the same day.

Other firms have yet to make similar announcements for the week.

The Department of Energy-Oil Industry Management Bureau (DOE-OIMB) earlier projected downward adjustments this week, citing the possible impact of the slowdown of the US and global economies, and fears of a supply glut.

Firms last week rolled back pump prices per liter of gasoline by P1.70, diesel by P0.90, and kerosene by P1.80.

This brought the year-to-date adjustments to a net increase of P2.15 per liter for gasoline, P3.05 per liter for diesel, and a net decrease of P0.30 per liter for kerosene as of March 11, 2025. — KG/RSJ/RF, GMA Integrated News
