Norwegian Cruise Line opens first PH medical clinic
Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. (NCLH), a leading global cruise operator, has opened its first medical clinic in the Philippines to serve its Filipino seafarers.
The NCLH Medical Clinic and Laboratory OPC, an outpatient facility on the 19th floor of the Trium Building in Pasay City, was officially inaugurated on April 25.
Spanning 674 square meters, the state-of-the-art clinic is designed to provide comprehensive pre-employment medical services primarily for Filipino crew members assigned to NCLH-operated vessels.
The facility features specialized departments including dental, ultrasound, X-ray, optical, clinical laboratory, ECG, treadmill stress testing, drug testing, audiometry, and psychological testing rooms.
“At NCLH, we recognize that our people are our greatest asset,” said Dr. Carlos Gonzalez, Chief Medical Officer of NCLH. “This clinic is designed to streamline the pre-employment medical process for our cruise line crew members, enabling them to complete necessary health checks efficiently and return to work promptly.”
By minimizing delays, the clinic aims to support crew members' well-being and livelihoods while also enhancing the overall guest experience aboard NCLH ships.
