Ayala’s ACMobility eyes 700 EV charging points nationwide by end-2025
Ayala Corporation’s end-to-end mobility provider ACMobility is growing its network of electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure with the goal of having 700 charging stations nationwide by the end of 2025.
At the ACMobility’s EV charging network in Makati City on Tuesday, ACMobility head of Mobility Infrastructure Carla Buencamino said that “the [target] 700 charging points will be roughly equivalent to roughly 230 locations… so we will end the year with more than 100 locations nationwide.”
The Ayala Group’s mobility arm’s EV charging points are currently distributed across over 90 locations in the country. The company is eyeing adding 30 more locations in June.
“We are growing that network… this year, it starts at 700 [charging points], and in the future, in the coming years, that number will grow,” said Buencamino.
ACMobility is a network of EV charging hubs located in Luzon and with some presence in the Visayas and Mindanao.
In Makati alone, ACMobility has a total of 70 charging points located in 16 areas across the city’s key commercial and residential areas.
ACMobility, formerly AC Motors, also operates dealer networks of Honda and Isuzu vehicles and is also the official distributor of Kia, Volkswagen, and BYD cars in the country.
Since 2023, the Ayala Group’s mobility unit has been investing in the development of EV charging stations in a bid to create a sustainable ecosystem as the country transitions to electrified mobility. — VBL, GMA Integrated News
