Gasoline, diesel, kerosene pump prices up for second straight week Tuesday

Gasoline, diesel, kerosene pump prices up for second straight week Tuesday

Motorists will have to pay more for petroleum products starting Tuesday, as retailers announced another round of price hikes to mark the second straight week of increases

In separate advisories, Flying V, Petron Corp.,Seaoil Philippines Corp. and Shell Pilipinas Corp. said they will hike prices per liter of gasoline by P0.40, diesel by P1.10, and kerosene by P0.70.

Cleanfuel, Petro Gazz Ventures Philippines Corp. and PTT Philippines Corp. will implement the same changes, excluding kerosene which they do not carry.

The adjustments will take effect at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, July 22, for all the firms except for Cleanfuel which will hike prices at 4:01 p.m. the same day.

Other firms have yet to make similar announcements for the week.

The Department of Energy-Oil Industry Management Bureau (DOE-OIMB) earlier projected hikes this week, citing the steady oil demand growth forecasts, and speculation that US President Donald Trump’s tariff policies will slow global economic growth and energy demand.

Firms last week hiked prices per liter of gasoline by P0.70, diesel by P1.40, and kerosene by P0.80.

This brought the year-to-date adjustments to a net increase of P9.00 per liter for gasoline, P11.35 per liter for diesel, and P1.85 per liter for kerosene as of July 15, 2025. —KG, GMA Integrated News
