PAL expands Siargao flights via Clark and Cebu
Flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) on Wednesday announced more flight options to Siargao through its Clark and Cebu hubs and offered one-way base fares as low as P4,388.
PAL said in an emailed statement that flights to Siargao are being offered from Clark and Cebu in an effort to increase accessibility to the beach destination and complement its Manila-Siargao route.
“Granting Siargao alternative air connections via Clark and Cebu addresses the appeal for air access and encourages local tourism and economic activity,” PAL Express president Rabbi Ang said.
“We are happy to play a leading role in the steady development of Siargao, wherein both the visitors and the residents will prosper due to expanded air transport opportunities,” he added.
PAL earlier this week rolled out its Ultimate Seat Sale 2025, with one-way promotional base fares as low as P189 for local flights and roundtrip economy base fares for international flights at $59.
The company reported its 15th straight profitable quarter in the April to June period, driven mainly by higher passenger volumes. It reported a 48% increase in its net income to $60 million, as revenues climbed 6% to $831 million while operating income rose 10% to $71 million. –VBL, GMA Integrated News
