Aromate PH strengthens Taiwanese investment with planned $4.3-M manufacturing facility in Batangas

Aromate PH Assets Corp., a local subsidiary of Taiwan-based Aromate Industries, is set to build a $4.3-million manufacturing facility in Batangas, which is set to serve as a regional hub for its air care products amid the growing market and global demand.

According to the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), its attached agency the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) inked a registration agreement with Aromate PH following an investment promotion mission in Taiwan last month.

“This is a significant development as we continue to welcome more Taiwan companies setting up operations in the Philippines, generating opportunities for both local and international markets,” PEZA director general Tereso Panga was quoted as saying in a statement.

PTIC-Taipei Trade Representative and Director for Commercial Affairs Anthony Rivera said the investment will also bring more opportunities in product manufacturing, and in research and development for fragrances and air care products.

Manila Economic and Cultural Office (MECO) chair Cheloy Garafil also welcomed the development, citing the government’s commitment to facilitating foreign investments.

“MECO fully supports companies like Aromate as they expand to the Philippines. We are committed to making it easier to do business and to fostering stronger industrial partnerships between the Philippines and Taiwan,” she said. — Jon Viktor Cabuenas/RF, GMA Integrated News
