DigiPlus, PhilFirst partner for gamers’ surety bond program
Digital gaming giant DigiPlus Interactive Corp. —the company behind BingoPlus, ArenaPlus, and GameZone— has partnered with Philippine First Insurance Co. Inc. (PhilFirst) to launch the country’s first surety bond program for online gaming players.
In a news release on Thursday, DigiPlus said the surety bond program in partnership with PhilFirst “takes effect immediately.”
The digital gaming company said the surety bond protects a player’s wallet or balance up to P1 million per player, “without requiring customers to purchase a separate policy.”
This would mean more peace of mind for players every time they log in, as long as their e-KYC or electronic Know-Your-Customer information is up to date and they continue to play within the platform’s guidelines, according to DigiPlus.
To be eligible under the surety bond program, the company said players must be e-KYC-verified, have made at least one successful deposit, and be in good standing within the platform’s guidelines.
DigiPlus said “the protection is in place immediately and applies automatically for all eligible players across BingoPlus, ArenaPlus, and GameZone.”
“DigiPlus is proud to be the first in the industry to roll out this level of consumer protection,” said DigiPlus chairman Eusebio Tanco.
“We are committed to putting our players first. With this surety bond, they can play confidently on BingoPlus, ArenaPlus, and GameZone, knowing that their funds are safeguarded,” said Tanco.—LDF, GMA Integrated News
