PAL to add more flights to Australia, Japan, Seattle for holiday season
Flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) on Thursday announced additional flights to Australia, Japan, Seattle, and other cities starting this month, in anticipation of the higher demand during the holiday season.
PAL will increase the frequency of its flights between Manila and Da Nang to daily from three times a week, and Manila-Busan flights to 11 per week from seven starting Sunday, October 26, the airline said.
It will also double its Manila-Perth flights to six services per week from three currently, operated by the Airbus A321neo, and increase the Manila-Melbourne flights to daily from five per week using the A330-300.
The carrier will upgrade select Manila-Brisbane services to its tri-class Airbus A330 widebody aircraft, in place of the Airbus A321neo.
PAL will likewise increase services to Japan with the revival of the seasonal non-stop flights between Manila and Sapporo with three weekly flights from November 24, 2025, to March 27, 2026.
It will offer 12 roundtrip flights between Manila and Narita from December 18, 2025, to January 6, 2026, on top of its regular two daily flight offerings.
The carrier will offer 12 extra trips for the Manila-Osaka route from December 19, 2025, to January 7, 2026, and three more round trips between Manila and Nagoya on December 25 and 27, 2025, and January 3, 2026, on top of the daily service.
PAL will mount thrice-weekly flights between Cebu and Guam starting December 16 and expand its Manila-Seattle service to five times a week from thrice-weekly starting November 25, 2025.
“As the country’s flag carrier, we remain committed to enhancing our network, ensuring we meet robust demand and connect travelers to more destinations during the peak travel season,” PAL president Richard Nuttall said.
“This commitment extends to delivering world-class excellence, heartfelt care, and providing the warmth of Filipino hospitality in every journey,” he added.
The company reported its 15th straight profitable quarter in the April to June period, driven mainly by higher passenger volumes.
