Another big-time fuel price hike on Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2025
Motorists will again have to pay more for petroleum products this week, as fuel retailers on Monday announced another round of hikes to mark the fifth straight week of upward adjustments for gasoline, and the second for diesel and kerosene.
In separate advisories, Chevron Philippines Inc. (Caltex), Flying V, Petron Corp., Seaoil Philippines Corp., and Shell Pilipinas Corp. said they will hike prices per liter of gasoline by P1.70, diesel by P2.70, and kerosene by 2.10.
Cleanfuel, Petro Gazz, PTT Philippines Corp., and Unioil Petroleum Philippines Inc. will implement the same changes, excluding kerosene which they do not carry.
The adjustments will take effect at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, November 4, for all the firms except for Cleanfuel which will increase prices at 4:01 p.m. the same day.
Other firms have yet to make similar announcements for the week.
The Department of Energy-Oil Industry Management Bureau (DOE-OIMB) earlier projected upward adjustments of over P1 per liter for gasoline and kerosene, and over P2 per liter for diesel this week, citing the higher demand amid easing US-China tensions, and the UK, US, and EU sanctions on Russia.
Retailers last week hiked prices per liter of gasoline by P1.20, diesel by P2.00, and kerosene by P1.70.
This brought year-to-date adjustments to a net increase of P16.50 per liter for gasoline, P19.15 per liter for diesel, and P6.55 per liter for kerosene as of October 28, 2025.—AOL, GMA Integrated News
