Cebu Pacific nets P9.5B in Jan. to Sept. 2025
Gokongwei-led budget carrier Cebu Pacific saw its profits more than double in the first nine months of 2025 amid strong travel demand.
In a news release on Thursday, Cebu Pacific said its net income surged to P9.5 billion, up from P3.4 billion in the same period last year.
The airline posted total revenue of P87.6 billion in the January to September 2025 period, up 18% year-on-year.
Cebu Pacific said the revenue growth was driven by 20 million passengers flown during the period, up 14% year-on-year, with a seat load factor of 84.8%.
For the third quarter alone, the budget carrier saw its total revenue reach P24.3 billion, up 5% year-on-year, despite the seasonal slowdown due to the earlier start of the academic year.
The airline said it flew over six million passengers in the third quarter, up 1%. By the end of September, the airline said it had operated over 3,100 weekly flights across 124 routes.
“Cebu Pacific delivered a strong year-to-date performance despite seasonal headwinds in the third quarter. This reflects the resilience of our business model, the strength of underlying travel demand, and the discipline of our teams in managing cost and capacity amid an evolving operating environment,” said Cebu Pacific CEO Michael Szucs.
“We remain committed to making air travel affordable and sustainable for everyone, while ensuring efficiency and reliability as we aim for an even stronger finish to 2025,” he added. —VBL, GMA Integrated News
