Manila Water, Maynilad monthly bills to increase in January 2026

Households will have to pay more for water next year, as concessionaires Manila Water Company Inc. and Maynilad Water Services Inc. are set to implement higher tariffs starting next year, the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS) announced Monday.

According to the MWSS, Manila Water’s all-in-tariff per cubic meter will increase by P7.18 to P67.98 in the first quarter from P60.80 in the current quarter for unsewered, and by P8.39 to P85.06 from P76.67 for the sewered.

This will translate to increases ranging from P4.24 to P135.22 in the monthly bill of customers, depending on their consumption:

Manila Water’s East Zone water distribution and sewerage services spans the cities of Makati, Mandaluyong, Pasig, Pateros, San Juan, Taguig, Marikina, most parts of Quezon City, portions of Manila; as well as the towns Angono, Antipolo, Baras, Binangonan, Cainta, Cardona, Jala-Jala, Morong, Pililia, Rodriguez, San Mateo, Tanay, Taytay, and Teresa in Rizal province.

Maynilad will also increase the all-in-tariff for unsewered by P1.85 to P67.61 and for sewered by P2.15 to P78.46 from P76.31, translating to increases ranging from P1.02 to P39.04, depending on the consumption:

 

Maynilad currently serves customers in the west zone, which covers the cities of Caloocan, Las Piñas, Makati, Malabon Manila, Muntinlupa, Navotas, Parañaque, Pasay, Quezon, Valenzuela.

It also services certain areas in Cavite such as the cities of Bacoor, Cavite, and Imus; and the towns of Kawit, Noveleta, and Rosario. —AOL, GMA Integrated News
