LPG price hike to greet consumers on Jan. 1, 2026

Households should brace for higher liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) prices to be implemented on the very first day of 2026.
In an advisory, Petron Corporation announced it will hike the price of its LPG by P2.18 per kilogram, effective 12:01 a.m. on January 1, 2026.
Petron’s price hike translates to an increase of P23.98 for a typical 11-kilogram LPG tank.
“This reflects the international contract price of LPG for the month of January,” the company said.
Solane, likewise, announced it is increasing the price of its LPG brand by P2.18 per kilogram, effective 6 a.m. on January 1, 2026.
Data from the Department of Energy showed that the prices of an 11-kilogram LPG tank currently range from P803.04 to P1,102.00. –NB, GMA Integrated News
