Emirates to add four weekly Dubai-Manila flights

Emirates to add four weekly Dubai-Manila flights

Emirates is set to boost its flights between Dubai and Manila with four additional weekly trips starting April 2, as the carrier seeks to cater to more passengers and boost its cargo capacity following the trade agreement between the two countries.

The additional flights will depart Dubai every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday at 12:45hrs and arrive in Manila at 1:25hrs the next day. Return flights will depart Manila at 3:25 a.m., and arrive in Dubai at 8:25 hrs.

The additional flights will add to the 28 weekly flights Emirates currently operates in the Philippines, with circular services to Cebu and Clark.

The trips will use the Boeing 777-300ER, which will have eight private suites in first class, 42 lie-flat seats in business class, and 304 seats in economy class, catering to corporate travelers, marine customers, and Filipino travelers in general.

“By adding four more flights in its weekly operations to Manila operated by this wide-body aircraft, Emirates will offer increased cargo capacity to further strengthen imports and exports between Manila and Dubai, as well as key trade markets across Europe, the United States, and the Indian subcontinent,” the carrier said.

This comes as the Philippines and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) last week signed the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), which reduces tariffs, enhances market access for goods and services, increases investment flows, and creates new opportunities for Filipino professionals and service providers in the UAE. — RSJ, GMA Integrated News
