Megaworld to roll out ‘AI-powered’ homes

Listed property developer Megaworld Corp. is looking to roll out “AI-powered homes” in the country this year through a partnership with global technology firm Samsung, which will integrate its ecosystem into the units.

Megaworld will launch the program in its Park McKinley West development in Taguig. Home buyers will be given the option to have their units integrated with AI-powered Samsung devices such as televisions, washing machines, and air-conditioning units through the SmartThings platform.

“Through our AI-powered homes initiative, we are redefining residential living by creating intelligent spaces that enhance comfort, safety, and sustainability across our townships,” Megaworld head of business innovation and transformation Francis Viernes said.

“This marks an important step in how we continue to elevate the living experience and set new standards for modern township developments,” he added.

Megaworld ended the first nine months of 2025 with a 14% growth in its net income to almost P18 billion, as consolidated revenues increased 8% to P64.41 billion.

The company’s real estate portfolio includes residential condominium units, subdivision lots and townhouses, as well as office projects and retail spaces. Its businesses include real estate sales, leasing of office spaces, and management of hotel operations.

Its subsidiaries include Richmonde Hotel Group International Limited, Eastwood Cyber One Corp., Empire East Land Holdings Inc., Global-Estate Resorts Inc., and Bonifacio West Development Corp. — BM, GMA Integrated News
