Metrobank cuts InstaPay fee to ₱8 effective Feb. 1, 2026

Metrobank cuts InstaPay fee to P8 effective Feb. 1, 2026

Metropolitan Bank and Trust Company (Metrobank) on Saturday announced that it is lowering its InstaPay transfer fee to P8 per transaction, its lowest rate ever, beginning February 1, 2026.

In a news release, Metrobank said the reduction of its InstaPay fee from the previous P25 per transaction would position the bank as among “the more competitive InstaPay fee offerings in the market.”

The bank said InstaPay transfers from one Metrobank account to another remains free of charge.

The move, it said, was a reinforcement of its commitment to make digital financial services more accessible and cost-efficient.

“By lowering our InstaPay fee to P8, we are making digital payments more convenient for our customers” said Ramon Del Rosario, Metrobank Consumer Business Sector head, adding that “it’s about supporting Filipinos in their day-to-day financial needs.”

Last year, Metrobank said it launched eSavings, a secure digital account that allows first-time Metrobank deposit clients to save, manage, and grow their money with a P2,000 minimum deposit balance. —VAL, GMA Integrated News
