Jollibee to launch Compose Coffee in PH this 2026

Home-grown fast food operator Jollibee Foods Corp. (JFC) is set to launch South Korean chain Compose Coffee in the Philippines this year, through a master franchise agreement with its subsidiary Fresh N’ Famous Foods Inc. (FNF).

“We are extremely excited to introduce Compose Coffee to the Philippines this 2026, aligned with its mission of making high-quality coffee more accessible to consumers,” Jollibee Group Philippines chief executive officer Joseph Tanbuntiong said in a statement.

“This planned launch strengthens one of our key strategic growth pillars — the coffee and tea segment — and positions the Jollibee Group to play a more meaningful role in our customers’ daily routines,” he added.

JFC earlier announced plans in Southeast Asia, as it is looking to sustain the growth of Compose Coffee after reaching 3,000 stores in September 2025, adding 1,000 stores in an 18-month period.

It acquired a 70% stake in Compose Coffee for a total consideration of $340 million in 2024. The Elevation Equity Partners Korea Limited was left with 25%, while Titan Dining II LP held the remaining 5%.

“Compose Coffee’s entry into the Philippines reflects the Jollibee Group’s commitment to scaling brands with strong global potential,” Jollibee chief financial and risk officer Richard Shin said.

“In every market where it operates, we’ve seen a disciplined operating model and deep focus on product quality that creates a repeatable formula for growth. We’re excited to bring that momentum to the Philippines and introduce more consumers to a brand that delivers both excellence and accessibility in every cup,” he added.

JFC on Monday also announced a 12.0% growth in its systemwide sales in the fourth quarter of 2025 to P122.3 billion, its strongest performance on record. Full-year systemwide sales rose 16.6%.

Its Philippine business posted a 9.7% growth for the quarter led by Jollibee up 9.8%, Mang Inasal up 20.5%, and Chowking up 5.4%.

The international segment saw a 15.4% increase, with EMEAA brands up 27.7%, Compose Coffee up 24.2%, Highlands Coffee up 23.1%, and Jollibee up 18.7%.

“This performance underscores broad-based demand across both our Philippines and international businesses, the strength of our brandfolio, and the scalability of our growth platforms,” Shin said. —AOL, GMA Integrated News
