AirAsia to operate international flights at NAIA T1 starting March 29

AirAsia to operate international flights at NAIA T1 starting March 29

AirAsia Philippines on Wednesday announced all its international flights, as well as those of AirAsia Malaysia, will start operating at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1 on March 29, 2026.

At present, AirAsia uses NAIA Terminal 3 for its international flights.

“This terminal transfer is part of New NAIA Infrastructure Corporation’s (NNIC) ongoing terminal reassignment program to enhance terminal operations and passenger experience at the country’s main gateway,” the airline said.

“Under this new arrangement, all AirAsia International operations—including check-in, boarding, and baggage claim—will be carried out from NAIA Terminal 1,” it said.

AirAsia Philippines advised passengers to arrive at the new terminal assignment at least three hours prior to the scheduled departure time and refer to the terminal signage for direction and assistance.

“Affected passengers will be notified via registered email and SMS. Please wait for it at your registered contact details,” the carrier said.

“Please note that from March 29 onwards, only the terminal will be changed while the flight schedule remains the same,” it added.

All domestic flights will continue to operate at NAIA Terminal 2, AirAsia Philippines said. —VBL, GMA Integrated News
