Manila Water Company Inc. posted a 51% growth in its net income amounting to P15.808 billion in 2025, from P10.5 billion in 2024.

In a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange on Friday, Manila Water said its consolidated revenues stood at P40.181 billion, up 10% from P36.647 billion year-on-year.

“The increase was on account of the implementation of approved tariff adjustments in the East Zone Concession and various Non-East Zone Philippines (NEZ PH) business units,” it said.

“Additional uplift came from favorable shift in customer mix in the East Zone and sustained billed volume growth across the NEZ PH portfolio,” it added.

In particular, revenues from Manila Water’s East Zone Concession grew by 11% to P32.0 billion, “supported by the full-year impact of the third tranche of the approved Rate Rebasing tariff adjustment implemented in January 2025, as well as favorable changes in customer mix.”

The company’s businesses outside its East Zone Concession grew 6%, driven primarily by positive tariff adjustments in Clark, Boracay, and Estate Water.

Higher consumption from the LARC, Metro Ilagan, and Cebu businesses further contributed to the positive topline performance via 5% total billed volume growth, according to the water distributor.

In total, NEZ PH delivered a bottom line of P1.6 billion in 2025.

Manila Water added its international business recorded a significant turnaround, as it ended 2025 with a net income of P803 million.

The company said its group-wide capital expenditures reached P28.2 billion in 2025 with the East Zone Concession accounting for 84% or nearly P24 billion, reflecting the company’s ongoing commitment to water security, network expansion, and service reliability. —LDF, GMA Integrated News
