ICTSI’s Razon is richest Filipino with $16.5 billion —Forbes

Ports magnate Enrique Razon Jr. is the richest person in the Philippines and the 175th richest person in the world, according to Forbes' Billionaires' List.

The business magazine's annual global list of people with 10- to 12-figure bank accounts exploded this year with a record 3,428 entries, 400 more than last year.

Fifteen people on the list are Filipinos, led by ICTSI's Razon, whose net worth of $16.5 billion catapults him past fellow tycoons Ramon Ang, Lucio Tan, and Manny Villar, who topped the Philippines' list in 2025.

Below are the Filipino billionaires and their rankings on Forbes' list:

  • Enrique Razon Jr., 66, in 175th place with $16.5 billion
  • Ramon Ang, 72, in 1,189th place with $3.6 billion
  • Lucio Tan, 91, in 1,223rd place with $3.5 billion
  • Manuel Villar, 76, in 1,376th place with $3.1 billion
  • Henry Sy, Jr., 72, in 1,676th place with $2.5 billion
  • Hans Sy, 70, in joint 2,274th place with $1.8 billion
  • Herbert Sy, 69, in joint 2,274th place with $1.8 billion
  • Harley Sy, 66, in joint 2,386th place with $1.7 billion
  • Andrew Tan, 74, in joint 2,386th place with $1.7 billion
  • Lucio Co, 71, in joint 2,481st place with $1.6 billion
  • Teresita Sy-Coson, 75, in joint 2,481st place with $1.6 billion
  • Elizabeth Sy, 73, in joint 2,600th place with $1.5 billion
  • Susan Co, 68, in joint 2,600th place with with $1.5 billion
  • Tony Tan Caktiong, 73, in 3,285th place with $1.1 billion
  • Eusebio Tanco, 76, in 3,332nd place with $1 billion

The combined incomes of all 3,428 global billionaires on the list amounts to a record $20.1 trillion, up by $4 trillion from 2025. The US has the most billionaires with 989, followed by China with 610 and India with 229.

Elon Musk is once again the world's richest person with a net worth of $839 billion. In distant second and third are Google founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin with $257 billion and $237 billion respectively.

US President Donald Trump, who has grown wealthier in office, is in 645th place with a net worth of $6.5 billion.

Forbes uses stock prices and exchange rates from March 1, 2026 to produce a "snapshot of wealth" by which to create its billionaires list. — BM, GMA Integrated News
