DITO Telecommunity Corp. on Thursday announced it is offering free calls to help overseas Filipinos and their families remain connected amid the Middle East conflict.

In an advisory, DITO said that from March 9 to 13, 2026, its subscribers roaming in select Middle East countries will receive a one-time allocation of up to five minutes of free incoming calls from DITO numbers in the Philippines.

The free five-minute call assistance covers Filipinos in Bahrain, Kuwait, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, and Lebanon.

The telco said standard roaming call rates will apply after the free five-minute allocation.

DITO said the initiative supports the Philippine government’s efforts to ensure Filipinos abroad and their loved ones back home remain connected and informed during times of crisis.

“Filipinos are connected not only by family, but by technology,” said Ernesto Alberto, president and CEO of DITO.

“We stand with the Philippine government in supporting and protecting our kababayans abroad. DITO remains committed to weaving Filipino communities together wherever they may be through reliable connectivity,” said Alberto.

“Moments like these remind us that access to communication and information should never be out of reach,” said Adel Tamano, chief commercial officer of DITO.

Customers who may need assistance placing calls may also visit DITO Experience Stores at SM Megamall and SM North EDSA, the telco said. —AOL, GMA Integrated News
