Fuel companies hike LPG prices by double digits per kilo, effective April 1, 2026
Fuel companies on Tuesday announced double-digit increases in the prices of their liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), effective on April 1, 2026.
In an advisory, Petron said it will hike the price of its LPG by P20 per kilo, effective 12:01 a.m. on Wednesday.
The adjustment will increase the price of a typical 11-kilogram LPG cylinder by P220.
“This reflects the international contract price of LPG for the month of April,” it said.
Solane said its LPG price will go up by P17 per kilo at 6 a.m. on April 1.
"This is aligned with the adjustment in international contract price for April," Solane said.
Data from the Department of Energy (DOE) showed the price of an 11-kilo LPG tank range between P818.62 and P1,128.62 as of March 2026.
The LPG Marketers Association (LPGMA), last week, warned that the price of an LPG tank could rise to as high as P1,500 in April due to the rising shipping costs resulting from the limited access to the Strait of Hormuz. — BAP/NB, GMA News
